Happy accident: While typing in the url for the Boston Public Library (bpl.org), I typed in the bplo.org. Imagine my surprise to find the Brad Pitt Light Orchestra, an Irish cover band. Enjoy.
In avoiding putting together our stuff to finally pay our taxes, I'm blogging, and probably knitting. There's a crapalanche of half opened mail that needs going through, too.
Over the weekend we checked out the Art of Dr. Suess at Newbury Fine Arts, which runs until Thursday, 4/5. In addition to lithographs & proofs for the more well-known books, they also have advertising art and political cartoons. Owen & Sofia wanted to pet the large, $3000 statue of the Cat in the Hat. We took them to Ben & Jerry's, then to the Frog Pond playground. I'll have to go again either tomorrow or Thursday to actually read the work during my lunch break. Owen was just as interested in talking to the woman who worked in the gallery and playing at her desk than the art with corrected proof from the Cat in the Hat book.
